Brandon Card: Giving Back to the Next Generation
BUFF® Staff / 2-8-2017
This past November BUFF® ambassador Brandon Card hosted his inaugural Brandon Card High School & Collegiate Open. A bass fishing tournament on his home waters of Norris Lake, Tennessee. What made this tournament unique is that it was two tournaments in one, with classes for collegiate anglers as well as high school. The purse however, wasn't of amatuer status. The winning collegiate team took home $2,500 and the high school team $1,500! Card knows all too well what it takes to make it as a professional bass angler and this was his opportunity to give back and inspire anglers to work hard both on and off the water.
Brandon & his wife hosted a welcome dinner for all the teams the night before the tournament.
Card posing for pictures, answering questions and simply talking fishing is what he does best.
Early to bed, early to rise. Many who don't fish tournaments have no idea that the day begins well before first light.
The tournament started off just right with overcast skies and anglers ready to get out to their spots!
Casting - One of the best parts of fishing.
The winning high school team.
The winning collegiate team.
Everyone was a winner at the Card Open with each angler taking home either a UV BUFF® or Angler Gloves.
