Michael Wardian

Michael Wardian is an elite, accomplished marathoner and ultramarathoner based out of Arlington, Virginia who has set records in the world’s toughest conditions and against the best in his sport. Despite working full time, being married and raising two kids, the 40 year old runner finds time to push the limits of human endurance constantly. Excuses are not in his vocabulary.

After finishing his Division I lacrosse career as an attackman at Michigan State, Michael turned his competitive tenacity towards endurance sports. He started running and competing in triathlons. In his first marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon in 1996, he qualified for Boston in 3:08.

A prolific racer, Michael typically runs multiple marathons and ultra marathons each month. He constantly pursues the most challenging conditions, pushing his body beyond previous limits of endurance, both mental and physical. He peaks when others crumble, hits his stride just beyond the wall.

Michael’s dominance in distance competition is as consistent and prolific as his racing performance and schedule. Michael represented Team USA in five 100K World Championships (2008-2012), winning the Silver in 2012, and Team USA’s first ever Gold Medal (in 26 years of competition) in 2011. He is also a two time Bronze medalist for Team USA in the 50k World Championship.

In 2017 he set the Fastest Known Time (FKT) for the Abbott World Marathon Majors (Tokyo Marathon, Boston Marathon, London Marathon, Berlin Marathon, Chicago Marathon, New York City Marathon) and then the World Marathon Challenge which consisted of 7 marathons, in 7 days, on 7 different continents!

UV Half BUFF This is one of my favorite pieces. It is super versatile, easy to wear on my neck or wrist and always comfortable and protective.

Original BUFF
A classic piece, completely dependable, reliable. It does so many unique things from keeping your ears warm to blocking sand from your lungs.  I first saw the Original BUFF while at Marathon des Sables in the Sahara Desert in 2000. I made fun of it at first, and by the end of the week, I had bought one! I've used BUFF® headwear every since.

Cap Pro Anton I really love this cap, you can throw it in your pockets or backpack and pull it out when you need it. It is super protective yet adaptive and dependable.  I couldn't ask for more.
