Jenn started taking boot camp classes for the same reasons as everybody else: the fitness she’d cultivated in college had given way to stress, too many hours at work, and more than a few extra pounds. Little did she know that communing outdoors in the city she loves would kickstart not only her metabolism, but a new career. Before long, she found herself tackling 50- and 100-mile ultramarathons, Ironman relays, Double Dipseas, and a full roster of personal training clients. In 2008, Jenn founded Basic Training to fill the void for others like her: those who join a training program with modest goals only to discover their inner athlete. Now she’s onto her next adventure–making fitness accessible to everybody in town.
